WP3
First Implementation, piloting and preliminary assessment
Objectives
This WP is dedicated to the testing of the service ideas conceived in WP 2 through a piloting action organized and delivered by ATSP, in partnership with Polimi. The involvement of the ATSP is a key asset in this WP, as it will help to produce situated interventions and policies; the collaboration with Polimi, with its expertise in service evaluation and improvement, will support the generation of durable interventions, which foster social change and improve the health and quality of life of community members. In particular, the aim is to understand the feasibility of the co-generated services and to evaluate its effectiveness on caregivers who have participated in focus groups and have agreed to continue to collaborate in the project. A Research Report on the service implemented, which describes the professionals involved, the facility and resources used and the protocol of the service, the service performance and potential improvement actions will be delivered. This report will be useful to inform the transferability of the service to further regions.
Attività
-
DEFINITION OF REQUIRED CAPABILITIES: Based on the prioritization of services done in WP 2, Polimi and ATSP will work together to define the effort required in terms of capabilities and professioanalsneeded to implement the service;
-
ASSESSMENT OF FEASIBILITY OF THE SERVICES DESIGNED: Polimi and ATSP will assess the feasibility of the service implementation. The service requirements in terms of human resources, facilities and other resources needed will be evauated and possible constraints will be discussed and tackled. Eventually, Polimi and ATSP will develop a service protocol;
- ORGANIZATION OF THE PILOT: Once the requirements are met and the feasibility of the service is verified, Polimi and ATSP will work jointly to organize the service according to the protocol and to collect commitment from service users;
-
PILOTING : TheATSP personnel will deliver the services;
-
SERVICE EVALUATION: After the 6-month implementation, Polimi will evaluate the service. Together with the assessment of the demand for the service, both quantitative (i.e. survey) and qualitative (i.e. interviews) tools will be used to evaluate the caregivers’ and professionals’ satisfaction and to let positive aspects and drawbacks of the service implementation emerge.
The results of the analysis will be useful to propose improvement actions for future implementations
Results
We expect, through the implementation of the service, to reduce the burden on the caregiver by providing services that meet the needs of the caregivers and that can be effectively implemented
