Assessment transferability  to  other  regions  and  stakeholder  involvement

Objectives

​

This  WP  is  dedicated  to  the  transferability  analysis,  which  intends  to  make  the  insights  and  the  idea  of  the  new  service  better  exportable  to  other  similar  rural/mountain/hard-to-reach  contexts.  The  transferability  will  be  pursued  through  the  mapping  and  involvement  of  stakehoders  belonging  other  key  out-reach  areas  of  Regione  Lombardia.  In  particular,  the  transferability  will  be  assessed  in  Valtellina,  which  is  an  area  geographically  close  to  Valcamonica  and  shares  the  same  demographic  challenges  and  similar  difficulties  in  the  access  to  assistance  and  services  with  the  specific  aim  to:

 

  • Investigate  if  the  needs  expressed  by  the  family  caregivers  in  mountainous  and  out-reach  communities  are  similar;

 

  • Assess  the  transferability  of  the  service  ideas  generated  in  WP  2;

 

  • Engage  stakeholders  in  the  transferability,  by  adapting  the  service  idea  to  the  new  specific  context.

 

Activity

​

  • ASSESSING  TRANSFERABILITY  OF  THE  NEW  SERVICE  IDEA.  An  exploratory online survey  will  be  distributed  to  a  sample  of  family  caregivers  of  elderly  citizens  living  in  Valtellina,  comparable  to  the  one  selected  in  Valcamonica  (WP1).  The  survey  intends  to  investigate  if  the  needs  expressed  by  the  population  of  Valcamonica  surveyed  in  WP  1  are  common  to  the  population  of  Valtellina  and  if  the  services  designed  in  WP  2  and  tested  in  WP  3  are  of  interest  for  this  different  population  too;
     

  •  STAKEHOLDERS  MAPPING  AND  INVOLVEMENT.  Once  the  services  ideas  of  interest  are  identified  and  prioritized  on  the  new  population,  the  stakeholders  that  should  be  involved  to  activate  these  new  services  will  be  identified  and  mapped  (e.g.  Comuni,  comunità  montane,  uffici  di  piano,  erogatori  di  servizi  socio  sanitari,  etc).  Then,  the  stakeholders  will  be  contacted  and  involved  in  a  session  of  sharing  of  the  service  ideas,  in  order  to  assess  their  interest  and  commitment  to  implement  one  or  more  of  these  services  in  their  territory;

  • ​

  • ADAPTATION OF  THE  CONCEPT  OF  SERVICE  TO  THE  NEW  CONTEXT  AND  ANALYSIS  OF  FAISABILITY.  Once  the  service(s)  of  interest  is(are)  identified,  a  specific  analysis  of  feasibility  will  be  performed  in  order  to  adapt  the  service  idea  into  the  specific  setting.  

Results
 

The results we expect to obtain concern the production of a report on the situation and context of the caregivers present in Valtellina and the production of a research report on the transferability and feasibility of the service conceived in Val Camonica, in a different context.
